Meteor Dedicated Servers

A dedicated multiplayer server is much faster than a regular game server but it is not possible to play from that machine.

To run a dedicated server simply add "-dedicated" to the command line. To assist with this Meteor ships with the following 2 batch files which start dedicated server mode.

Meteor Dedicated Coop.bat
Meteor Dedicated DM.bat

Simply run either of these files to start a dedicated server.

Configuring Server Settings

Dedicated servers use the current server settings. To change these settings start a regular server via the menus and set the required options in the Sever Settings. Next time a dedicated server is run it will use those settings.

Notes

To exit dedicated server mode (close the application) type either quit, exit or x followed by return.
It is important to keep the Meteor window in focus (do not run it behind any other windows). This problem may be fixed later on.
